AUTOMATIC 2ND COPY

Automatically printed a second copy or Electronic Journal on the new TSP Series of thermal Printers

Impact printers have always been capable of printing a duplicate copy for each transaction, which could be used for store audit purposes. Now retailers can take advantage of this feature when using thermal printers without having to invest in expensive software changes.

Star has developed a unique Raster Copy Driver enabling each receipt to be copied as it is printed at the Point of Sale, which can then be stored in the till for audit purposes. This copy receipt is clearly marked "void" to distinguish it from the original.

Alternatively, the data can be captured by the printer at the Point of Sale, once each transaction is completed, thereby creating a basic "electronic journal", which can then be stored on a central controlling PC ready to be printed at a later date. Because retailers can choose which files they print, there is no longer the need to store large numbers of unnecessary duplicate rolls.

The Raster Copy Driver is currently available for the new Star TSP650, TSP700II and TSP800 thermal printers running in Star Mode on Windows™ 95, 98, ME or XP.
