STAR BOOKS GOTHENBURG LIBRARY FOR
TSP700 RECEIPT PRINTERS
International POS printer manufacturer,
Star Micronics has announced today that Sweden’s ‘Gothenburg
Public Library’ has standardised on its TSP700 thermal receipt
printer, equipping both the primary site and 28 branches with
over 90 units.
The world’s fastest printer in is class,
the TSP700 outputs two-colour print at 180mm per second and was
selected by the library because of easy ‘drop in an print’
paper loading, its ‘full-cut’ autocutter, inclusion
as standard of Swedish language character code and compatibility
with existing system software.
Used to output customer receipts on borrowing
or returning books from the library, the TSP700s can also be used
by its staff to quickly and simply generate coupons and logos
on receipts at POS via the integral ‘Auto Logo’ facility.
Enabling even a novice PC user to design and initiate graphics,
Auto Logo can be used to communicate information to customers
according to the individual transactions, including library news,
changes in service, forthcoming events and new book titles, for
instance.
The main library of the city, Gothenburg
Public Library houses over 450,000 volumes in 50 languages and
also offers visitors a listening room with recorded music, a reading
room with more than 100 foreign daily newspapers and a hall featuring
continuously changing exhibits.
